180. Achieving Sustainable Weight Loss In Their 60’s with Sharon and Patrick O’Connor

In this weeks episode, I sit down with two of my clients that I had the pleasure of working with over the last 6 months. Please help me congratulate them for graduating iCoach University!

 

Here’s what they had to say:

 

“My wife and I have graduated from iCoach with Justin Murphy. I’m so glad we took the time to spend with Justin. After years of trying all kinds of different ways to lose weight, I found myself doing nothing but continuing to gain weight. When I finally got ahold of Justin, I weighed over 240 lbs. On our first call, I told him, the last thing I wanted to do was count calories and weigh food. Of course, those are the first two things he responded with. The first challenge was to eat 800g of fruits and. veggies per week. That seemed like a huge amount to me and I wasn’t sure how I would ever do it. However, it was done and was actually consistent. The other thing was to drink half my weight in water ounces daily. I never had to go to the bathroom more in my life. Between the water, fruit, and protein intake, I found myself full so much more quickly and wanting to snack way less. By the end of our time, my neck measurement went from 18 1/2″ to 17″. I lost several inches in my waist. My clothes do not fit anymore. I feel better. All my bloodwork from the doctor comes back exactly where it’s supposed to be. and I have more energy. I’ve even started to work out a bit which was never on my scheduled. One more thing you should know. I have been in multiple car accidents, deal with chronic pain in my back, hips, and knees. I’ve also survived brain surgery. As a result, I can’t walk very far, and working out is very limited. Because of the help I received from Justin, I now weigh 215 lbs. and my goal is 200. I’m well on my way. Thanks Justin, for your encouragement and support.”

“Final Post Call: WE graduated! Its been an amazing learning journey for me and my hubby. A huge shout out to Justin Murphy for being such a great coach. 6 months ago we thought we were eating healthy but now we really are. Takeaways: The iCoach plate works! Walking and strength training help as well. Being consistent makes a big difference. Lost 15# and lots of inches. I feel so much better about my body and my health. All my blood work came back normal except for Triglycerides but they were way down and really close to normal. I’ve been able to get off my blood pressure meds. This has been hard work and a true blessing all in one. Going forward: Continue to be consistent! I coach plate 80% of the time. Walk, strength training, rest, and plenty of water are essential to my health. I am worth it! Justin Murphy you are awesome!”
