1 package of basil, stemmed
1/4 cup finely grated Parmesan Reggiano
1/2 cup of walnuts
1/2 cup of a good quality olive oil
3 garlic cloves, minced
juice of one lemon
1/4 cup of Water
- Put the walnuts in a food processor. Make sure they are finely chopped. Add all the ingredients but the oil and water.
- Pulse till combined. Then as the food processor is running, slowly add the oil.
- Then add the water. I like the water because it isn’t so oil heavy and keeps it a good consistency. You don’t need so much oil but the water is a great addition!
