Reverse Diet: 1500 Calories to 2100 Calories

“I started with Justin in April directly after the Open finished. I came to him with lofty goals and a seriously twisted look at nutrition and fueling my body. From the very first phone call, I felt that he was on my team and believed in any goal we set. He took the time to get to know me and my relationship with food/ fueling my body.

I started at 124 pounds at this point I was eating 1,500 calories a day (on my best days) , sleeping 4-5 hours a night, and trying to pursue a more competitive season in Crossfit. Upon hearing the atrocities’ that made up my relationship with food, he informed me we would be taking a “reverse dieting” approach.

He seamlessly worked with me to help me understand the importance of fueling my body and helped me build a new relationship with food. Knowing my personality, He knew he would have to meet me half way and we began baby steps toward our goal. I began to increase my intake while increasing my sleep time. Each week, I felt better and better until I finally can look back at myself from a couple months ago and confirm I never want to live that again.

I now eat 2,100 calories a day, weigh 120, and sleep 6-8 hours a night. I look much leaner, feel much faster, and move better. Justin has helped me immensely in terms of nutrition and mindset.”
